4days to go...
Have you sent your family names for  the 12HOURS non-stop prayers?
Sept 2nd, the 16th  Edition.

THE VOICE OF GOD (V.O.G) RELOADED.

TOPIC: MAY YOUR GOOD DEEDS  NEVER BECOME                    YOUR TROUBLE.

           TEXT:
      1KINGS 22:29-30.

So the king of Israel(Ahab) and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself and enter into the battle, but put on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

Many have died because of their good.

Some have lost their lives because a friend they trusted so much set them up.

Many have been wounded because a close relation transferred the death hanging on their head to the one they ought to have protected.

From our text, we discovered the deception of King Ahab in a bid to avert the prophecy of death hanging on his head.

He knew that the words of the prophet will come to pass upon him but he quickly devised a means to escape and hung the death on his close friend, Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

King Ahab married Jezebel who turned his heart and kingdom against God.

When his time was up he wanted the death upon his friend and follow king.To die in his place.

He was the owner of the battle and king Jehoshaphat one  came to help him but he said he will disguise himself and go into the battle so the enemies will not know that he is the king of Israel.

He said to his friend to put on his own kingly robes and enter the same battle.
What a wicked friend.

I pray for you, may you not die for  helping someone.

Decree, I will never die the death of another man.

My eyes are open and I see the plans of those around me wishing me evil.

In the battle of life I am not naive.

Most times we see friends poison their friends, kinsmen betray their communities.

Pastors set up their fellow pastors and  members blackmail their general overseers.

In our text, Jehoshaphat who came to help almost died because of his good.

1 kings 22 vs 33 declares that when the commanders saw Jehoshaphat they thought he was the king of Isreal and they attacked him but he cried out to the lord.

Are you suffring because of your good to others? Cry to God now.

One prayer you must always pray is for the Lord to expose every form of deception around you.

Why did king Ahab asked king Jehoshaphat to wear his kingly attire but he did not wear his own?

He did not want to die but he wanted his friend to die his death.
Say not me!

Listen to me,  it is not every battle you see you must enter.

It's not everyone that needs help you must help. Some are traps.

You need understanding , wisdom and knowledge so that you don't end up being deceived by those who invited you to fight for them.

In verse 31-38, we saw how King Jehoshaphat almost died by the command of the king of the Syria saying to his captains not to fight with another person, except the king of Israel and the captains saw king Jehoshaphat they pursued him because he was dressed in his kingly attires and the main king of Israel disguised himself.

Imagine 32 captains that protected a king pursuing one person?

That was how fierce the battle was and how King Jehoshaphat's life was at risk but the Lord saved him.

I pray for you today, you will not die because of your good.

CONFESSION.

My good will not kill me. And my kind heart will not put me in any trouble.
AMEN
